Configure the Scanner cables
in the Stand-Alone configuration first to
program the Microscan 610 BCR heads. Refer to
Figure 15
. Label the
ADP-232 / BCR Scanners sets as number 1, number 2, ect. Connect the
CPU Interface cable (E7200-61709) from the Com Port 3 (Port 1 on Series
3) on the 5DX to the first ADP-232 J4 connector.

Power on the BCR ADP-232.
The Scan Head should generate a
continuous series of raster scan lines. Position the scan head towards the
standard bar code label at a distance of about 2.0" (50mm) and verify that
the raster scans across the length of the bar code label. Also check the
power status “green” indicator light is lit. If the code can be read from the
