Turn the Modify Knob counter clockwise.
Check the fields on the display being highlighted one after another.

Using the Modify Knob, move to the [

] parameter of the power sensor (that
is, channel 2, right field).

Using the cursor keys, move to the [P] parameter of the sensor channel, that is
channel 2. Press [Details].

Using the number keys press the following sequence: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Module Interaction Test
N O T E
The following functional test assumes the use of modules which are within
specification.

Setup the test equipment as shown in Figure 171:
Insert the fixed laser source module in slot 1 and the power sensor in slot 2 . If
you use the Agilent 8164A Lightwave Measurement System, insert the back-
loadable Tunable Laser module, if available, in slot 0.

Switch on the mainframe and wait until it has booted.

Preset
, the green hardkey, to set all parameters to their default values.

Ensure that [

], the wavelength of the power sensor module equals [
λ
], the
wavelength of the laser source in slot 1.

Ensure, the attenuation of the laser source is set to 0.00 dB.
