6. USING THE MULTIMEDIACARD
(MMC2000 OPTION)
6.1. Introduction
The MMC2000 option, allows to expand the internal memory of the device up to
16MByte by the use of a MULTIMEDIACARD™ as support, on which is possible to
store a bigger quantity of data compared to the device’s internal buffer. Therefore, in
case of long monitoring, won’t be necessary leaving a PC linked to the device in
order to capture all the events of a test. The support (CARD) can be easily found at
any computer or photo shop.
6.1.1. Connection
In order to use the expansion box is needed:
1 Connect the option to the device AC/DC main adapter,
POWER IN connector, using the Y cable provided with the
option.
Once connected proceed according to your own necessity.
To store data from the device:

Connect the option to the RS232 serial port of the device
through the Y cable.
To download data from the MultiMediaCard™ to the personal computer:
2 Connect the option to the RS232 serial port of the
personal computer.
The led “ ACT ” blinks YELLOW when there is data exchange with
the device, goes solid YELLOW when the device is not detected
(in this case check the device configuration or the connections).
The led “ PWR ” goes RED in presence of power supply (if the led
is off check the main supply).
