Naming a title on a
DVD±RW disk
Function menu for DVD±R
and DVD±RW disks
“Unhide chapter”: you can press the
SELECT
button (Fig. 3/11) to
display the chapter currently being shown.
Index picture
You can store a specifi c picture from your recordings as the title
picture.
1.
Select the menu item “Index Picture”.
2.
Press the
SELECT
button (Fig. 3/11) to store the picture currently
displayed as the index picture.
When you see the title overview on the screen the next time, this pictu-
re will also be displayed.

Insert a recorded DVD±RW or DVD±R into the recorder. After a
short time the titles on the DVD are displayed.

With
Cursor buttons
/
(Fig. 3/12, 32) you can select the title
you wish to watch.

Press
Cursor button
(Fig. 3/33).

Cursor buttons
/
(Fig. 3/12, 32) you can select the menu
item “Rename Title”.

Now you can use
Cursor buttons
/
(Fig. 3/12, 32) to select up
to 9 letters or fi gures.

Press the
SELECT
button (Fig. 3/11) to confi rm your selection. The
text is displayed in the top line.
7.
In the bottom line you can select various functions such as “Dis-
tance”, “Small Capitals”, “Delete” etc.
Select “OK” if you would like to store your entry or “EXIT” to cancel
the procedure.

Insert a recorded DVD±RW or DVD±R into the recorder. After a
short time the titles on the DVD are displayed.

Press the
DISC OPER
button (Fig. 3/37) to reach the function
menu.

Cursor buttons

(Fig. 3/12, 32) you can select the desi-
red menu item.
In
the
DVD±R
menu you can select the following functions:
„Play“:
Select this item to play back the disc from the fi rst title.
„Rename disc“:
Press the
SELECT
button (Fig. 3/11); the
“Disc Name” entry window appears.

„Record a new title“:
Press the
SELECT
button (Fig. 3/11).
You will now exit from the function menu and return to the
screen. You can now start a new recording.
„Finalize disc“:
Every DVD±R has to be fi nalised, as other-
wise it cannot be played back on other machines. Press the
SELECT
button (Fig. 3/11) to start this process.
NOTE:
Once the disc has been fi nalised it is not possible to make
any further recordings on it.
