Playing media
You transmit commands to the DVD recorder via remote control. It is
thus important to point the end of the remote control towards the DVD
recorder.
1.
Press the remote control button
OPEN/CLOSE
(Fig. 3/23). The
CD/DVD tray opens.
2.
Place the CD/DVD on the tray.
3.
Press the remote control button
OPEN/CLOSE
(Fig. 3/23) again.
The CD/DVD tray closes. The display (Fig. 1/4) fi rst shows „Load“.
After a short while the type of the loaded medium is displayed (e.g.
„DVD“).
When playing CDs the following status information is displayed on
screen:
Media type (1)
, e.g. “CDDA”.
Track and Directory Overview

Time (3):
This provides information about the duration and the re-
maining play time. By standard the play time expired of the current
track is displayed. The display is in hours, minutes and seconds.
When playing DVDs you can view the on-screen menu by pressing the
Display
-button (Fig. 3/29).
The DVD menu consists of 2 pages. Press the
DISPLAY
-button a
second time to view page two of the menu. The menu provides the
following information:

Play Mode
(1), e.g. “Normal” or “C-REP” (Chapter Repeat).
Play Status
(2), “Playback”; “Pause” or “Step”.
Current title/total number of titles

Output Language

The number of languages that can be selected is displayed.
Time
(6): Here you will fi nd information on the playback length.
The default setting is the length of the current title that has so far
been played back. The display is shown in hours.
