Dial Options/EIA-366 Security
This option should remain disabled for all normal commercial
applications. It is designed for use with only a few specialized
military applications and is not described in this manual. For
more information on this option, contact ADTRAN Technical
Support (see the last page of this manual).
Dial Line/Auto Answer
The ISU 512e can be configured to automatically answer or not an-
swer.
Auto Answer/Disabled
When D
ISABLED
is selected, the ISU 512e does not answer in-
coming calls. The ringing call can be dumped using the H
ANG

if V.25 bis is in con-
trol of answering incoming calls with the CIC/DIC commands;
other settings override V.25 control of the answer function.
Auto Answer/Enabled (def)

is selected, the ISU 512e accepts incoming
calls.
Auto Answer/Dump all calls
When D
UMP ALL CALLS
is selected, the ISU 512e does not ac-
cept any incoming calls, keeping the line clear for outgoing
calls.

EON The ISU 512e assumes the dial string is
fully entered if more than 10 seconds
elapse since input of the last digit, or the
unit receives the EON command.

EON The ISU 512e assumes the dial string is
fully entered if more than 20 seconds
elapse since input of the last digit, or the
unit receives the EON command.
