Figure 3-2 shows the ISU 512e front panel.

Front Panel Description

The ISU 512e front panel consists of a 2-line, 16-character LCD display,
7 LED indicators, and a 16-button keypad. This allows for configuring
most options, dialing, testing, and monitoring the unit without data
terminal or test equipment.

LCD Window

This window displays menu items and messages in 2 lines by
16 characters.

Function Keys

These keys are described in Table 3-6 on page 3-10.

Numeric Keypad

The numeric keypad contains the numbers

which are used to activate menu items and enter parame-

ters.

LED Descriptions

The LED indicators monitor data flow and display the status
of key DTE interface leads. Table 3-5 lists the LEDs and their
