MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
Maintenance
The advice given in this section covers the general care and maintenance of the
main body of your machine.
Do not use an extension cable which shows signs of danger. Fit a new
cable completely – do not make any permanent or temporary repairs.
•
Always keep your machine clean and free from grass cuttings, especially the
underside of the deck and the air vents.
•
Check all electrical cables at regular intervals, looking for signs of wear,
abrasion or other damage.
•
Remove the debris stuck to the bottom of the machine with a spatula each time
you finish working.
•
Clean all plastic components with a damp cloth.
Storage
-Store the implement in a dry place well out of reach of children.
-Allow the motor to cool down before placing the implement in a closed room.
- Do not wrap nylon sacks around the implement as this could result in the for-
mation of moisture.
Loosen the quick release system so that the bar can be folded up for space-saving
storage.
Ensure the cables are not squeezed as shown in Fig. 10
- Clean the application.
- Wipe over all metal surfaces with an oil-impregnated cloth to protect them from
corrosion (non-resinous oil), or spray a fine coat of oil onto them from a can.
- Fold the guide bar down, and store it in a suitable place.
- Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the machine is in a safe working
condition
- Examine the machine regularly and replace worn or damaged parts for safety
