KOOLMASTER PP20-VS2
V1-V2 Motor curves —
The relationship be-
tween the voltage supplied to a motor and
its operating speed is described by a motor
curve. This curve varies with the make and
capacity of the motor. The various motors
available in the industry have been divided
into ten categories and the controller has been
programmed with a different motor curve for
each of these categories. Select the proper
motor curve to make sure the controller sup-
plies the correct voltages according to the
type of fan motors used (refer to the motor
curve table on the back of the controller’s
installation guide).
Use Age? —
Some functions of the con-
troller are based on the age of the animals
(temperature curve, minimum speed curve
& programs). Select
“Yes”
to use age-based
functions or select
“No”
to disable them.
Use temperature curve —
The temperature
curve is used to change the temperature
set point over time. Select
“Yes”
to use this
curve. *
Accessible if age-based functions are enabled
above.
Use minimum speed curve —
The minimum
speed curve is used to change minimum ven-
tilation rate over time. Select
“Yes”
to enable
this curve. *
Accessible if age-based functions are
enabled above. In addition, note that only 1 curve
can be applied in minimum ventilation: the minimum
speed curve or the ON Time curve (see below).
Use ON Time curve —
The ON Time curve
is used to change the
“On Time”
portion of
the minimum ventilation timer with time.
This curve is used by the variable-speed
fans. Select
“Yes”
to enable it. *
Accessible if
age-based functions are enabled above. In addition,
note that only 1 curve can be applied in minimum
ventilation: the minimum speed curve or the ON Time
curve (see above).
Outside T° Comp. on bandwidth 1 & 2 —
Select
“Yes”
to let the controller adjust the
bandwidth of stages 1 and 2 as a function of
the outside temperature. *
Available if the outside
temperature probe is enabled (see section 4.7).
Number of programs —
The controller can
use several temperature programs. Enable
the desired number of programs (1 to 3
programs)
Switch program by Age / Out T° ? —
The
controller can automatically enable a new
program when the animals reach a certain age
and/or as a function of outside temperature.
Specify what factor causes a change in the
program selection —
“Age”
and/or
“ Out T°”
.
Answer
“No”
to both questions if you do no
want the controller to change the program
automatically.
Use password —
Select
“Yes”
to enable the
password protection or
“No”
to disable it.
Use password level? —
Select the default user
level used by the controller (user 1, user 2 or
installer). *
Accessible if the password protection
is enabled above.
Clear alarms? —
Select
“Yes”
to reset the
alarm log.
Digit display —
Select what piece of informa-
tion must be shown on the red LED display:
Temp.only —
Temperature only;
Temp/Inlet 1 —
T° + position of inlet 1.
Temp/Inlet 2:
T° + position of inlet 2.
Temp/Inlet 1/Inlet 2 —
T°+ position of inlets 1 & 2
Clear Relay Assignment ? —
Select
“Yes”
to
clear the assignment between relays and out-
puts of all programs. Before clearing the relay
assignment, the controller asks for confirma-
tion; select
“Yes”
again to confirm.
ZC ON/OFF (Advanced) —
This is the timer
that is being used by the variable-speed fans
in case of a missing zero crossing alarm. Set
it to the desired value. *
This parameter is only
accessible from the factory mode.
