The Viper II analyzer allows for the connection of the ACES Model 1752B JEDA or Direct EMS
and is used in conjunction with the Honeywell Performance option (Chapter 12) to communicate
with Honeywell’s TFE731 series of engines.
2.3.2.2.
– 18-28V DC IN Port
The “18-28V DC IN” port is used in conjunction with the battery charger supplied with the
analyzer. Your analyzer will come with a 100V to 220V charger usable in all geographic
locations.
WARNING
Use only the ACES-supplied charger. Non-ACES Supplied chargers are not recommended due to
operational limits and possible damage that may occur.
2.3.3.
– Front Face
The front face of the analyzer contains two Type A USB 2.0 ports. These ports can accept
standard USB peripherals such as USB Memory Devices and Wired USB Keyboards. It is
designed to work with accessories with a direct wired connection between the analyzer and the
device. These ports are provided with a rubber plug to keep debris from entering the port.
2.4.
– Additional Standard Equipment
When you purchase a Gen II Analyzer, several accessories come with the analyzer as standard
equipment. These items are described in the following paragraphs.
2.4.1.
– Lithium Ion Battery
The primary power source for the analyzer is its internal 7200mAH lithium ion battery. Do not
attempt to replace the battery yourself because of the possibility of injury to yourself or damage
to the analyzer. There are no usable-serviceable parts inside the analyzer.
2.4.2.
– Battery Charger
CAUTION
The charger is built for indoor use only. Do not expose the charger to outdoor environmental
conditions, especially any type of precipitation.
