•
The size of the free disk spa c e on your ha rd disk is less tha n the
required size.
For exa mple, if the onboa rd memory (inc luding video memory) is
64MB, the tota l free disk spa c e required will be a round 64MB. If
the tota l free disk spa c e is less tha n this, you ha ve to free up spa c e
on the ha rd disk.
•
The ha rd disk ha s enough free spa c e, but this free spa c e exists a s
sma ll fra gments.
The free disk spa c e tha t Sleep Ma na ger requires needs to be
c ontiguous. To solve this problem, use tools suc h a s Disk
Defra gmenter (Windows) to c ompa c t these free disk spa c es. Then
run Sleep Ma na ger a ga in to c rea te the file.
•
Disk c ompression utilities a re used.
Sleep Ma na ger c a n work with most c ompression softwa re.
However, Sleep Ma na ger c a n only c rea te the spa c e on a host drive.
A host drive stores origina l file informa tion a nd c a nnot be
c ompressed. The free spa c e on the host drive is usua lly very sma ll,
so the c ompression softwa re needs to be run a ga in to enla rge the
size of the host (unc ompressed) drive for Sleep Ma na ger.
