Welcome to the Apex Premier Fume Hood Monitor Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manual.   The 
Apex Premier Monitor (APM) has been designed to provide accurate and reliable real-time monitoring of 
fume hood face velocity on a wide variety of fume hoods including; variable air volume, constant air 
volume, and high performance - low flow.

The revolutionary touch screen display allows the technician to easily calibrate and configure the APM 
with no external tools or interfaces, yet remains completely invisible to the operator.  Password protection 
is utilized to prevent any unauthorized personnel from changing calibration or configuration items. 
 
The APM utilizes 3 front-mounted push buttons that allow the operator to mute the alarm horn, enable 
purge mode, and also view the internal settings of the APM.  The mute and purge push buttons can also 
be disabled if not required. 
 

NOTE:  The protection and performance provided by the APM may be impaired if used in a manner 

not specified or contained in this manual.
