The new symbol becomes available in Symbol Editor with the states selected for
drawing. Different drawing tools such as line, rectangle and ellipse can be used
to draw the graphics for the different states.

Select the signals that should be connectable in SLD Editor via the symbol's
Signals property.

Signals Selection
dialog, use

to add or remove
signals and click

The connectable signal types for symbols are shown on the left side of the
Signal Selection dialog. Any signal type can be moved from the left side
to the right side and vice versa. These signal types are used to connect to
the symbol if the instance is available in the configuration.
