Lifting accessory, robot
Slings attached directly onto robot
This section details how to lift and move the robot using lifting slings when these
are attached directly onto the robot frame.

Action
Run the overhead crane to a position above
the robot.

Note
If the robot is equipped with forklift pockets,
it is necessary to remove these in order to
reach the lower holes in the frame. These are
used to attach the
hooks
of the lifting slings.

If the robot is equipped with
fork lift
pockets
an extra weight of 90 kg must
be added to the robot weight!
CAUTION
The IRB 6660 robot weighs 1950 kg.
All lifting accessories used must be sized ac-
cordingly!

WARNING
Personnel must not, under any circumstances,
be present under the suspended load!

Make sure all hooks and attachments
maintain their correct positions while
lifting the robot!
Raise overhead crane to lift the robot.

Always move the robot at very low
speeds, making sure it does not tip.
