The state of the subnetwork whether it is
in use or not. When a subnetwork is not
in use, no data can be transmitted on it,
and no data is received from it. When a
subnetwork is stopped by setting the in
use attribute to 0, all data transmission on
the subnetwork ceases and all open con-
nections to the devices will be closed.
Single devices in use attribute may be set
to 1 and this operation also takes the
subnetwork in use. Now only the one
device is in use. If the subnetwork in use
is set to 1, the rest of the devices are taken
in use. The in use attribute has no affect
on devices in simulation mode.
