8 Commissioning
For this device there is no classic technical commissioning. After activating the electric power,
selected areas are run through consecutively from the "Settings" area.
– This setup is carried out automatically during initial commissioning or after resetting the
settings (see chapter 9.3.37 “RESET (resetting to the factory settings)“ on page 93).
– In the functions of area "Settings" the device switches automatically to the next function
after a function has been confirmed. If certain functions are not relevant for you, you can
change to the next function by pressing the "PLUS or "MINUS" button.
– A detailed description of the individual steps is contained in the following sub-sections of the
"Settings" area.

3. Start search mode
Search for station and save
automatically as favourite.

The frequency range DAB+ and
FM is searched for stations.
■
During the search a progress bar is
displayed.
■
Of the stations found, a total of 4
are stored as favourites in
alphabetic order.
– The first 4 DAB+ radio stations
are saved as favourites.
– If less than 4 DAB+ stations are
found, they are filled with FM
stations.
Additional favourites can be
added later via a station scan
mode. Eight positions are
available for favourites.

After the automatic search, the device switches back to standard operation automatically and
plays the first stored favourite.
– If no stations are found during the automatic search, the device changes automatically into
favourite "Bluetooth". In this case the Bluetooth icon on the display flashes.
– In this case the quality of reception via the antenna will probably be insufficient. For
possible reasons and measures, See “Bad quality of reception“ on page 116.
– Additional favourites can be added separately after commissioning.
