The mechanical self-locking differential of the car (where present) is of the clutch plate and ramp type, the most used in the
racing world.
When the grip on the road surface is not good, the limited slip differential ensure that the drive torque is distributed between all
the wheels to maximise the traction.
In this way, it improve the car’s ability to transfer the torque to the ground and maintain its trajectory on bends, benefitting safety
and sportiness.
