Troubleshooting
This section describes tasks that a system administrator can perform on the IP phones for
troubleshooting purposes. Using the Aastra Web UI, a system administrator can:
•
Assign an IP address and IP port in which to save log files
•
Filter the logs according to severity that get reported to log files
•
Save the current local configuration file to a specified location
•
Save the current server configuration file to a specified location
•
Show task and stack status (including “Free Memory”and “Maximum Memory Block Size”)
Aastra Technical Support can then use the information gathered to perform troubleshooting
tasks.
Log Settings
Using the configuration files or the Aastra Web UI, you can specify the location for which to
save files for troubleshooting purposes.
In the configuration files
, you use the following parameters to configure log settings:
•
log server ip
- The IP address for which to save log files for troubleshooting purposes.
•
log server port
- The IP port to use to save log files for troubleshooting purposes.
In the Aastra Web UI
, you use the following parameters to configure log settings:
•
Log IP
- The IP address for which to save log files for troubleshooting purposes.
•
Log Port
- The IP port to use to save log files for troubleshooting purposes.
