Power off the drone and RDS2. Remove the RDS2 from the drone. Remove the left side of the case from the
RDS2 and set it aside.

Plug the firmware update cable into the PCB. The 6 pin connector head is located in the back of the board right
next to the power input (XT30). Insert the connector until you hear a light click.

Connect the USB end of the firmware update cable to your PC or Mac. A red LED light on the update module
should light up. The RDS2 should also sing the A2Z chime, but no servo movement.

Launch STM32 Cube Programmer.

Click the + tab -> OPEPEN FILE, open the .bin firmware file.

Click the green CONNECT button on the right.

A popup window will show “Device successfully connected”. If not, try #4 again.

Click the blue DOWNLOAD button.
11.
Click the green CONNECT button on the right.
12.
Click the downward arrow next to the blue DOWNLOAD button. Click VERIFY.
13.
A popup window will show “No errors”. Click DISCONNECT.
14.
Unplug the USB cable from your PC or Mac. Unplug the 6 pin connector from the RDS2. Please advise, you
must squeeze the top and bottom of the plug and gently pull in order to remove the connector.
15.
Replace the case on the RDS2, then re-install it on the drone. Power up the drone and RDS2. You should hear
the A2Z chime, which means you successfully updated your firmware.
