MicroTouch™ DST2270DX
Sensor
This chapter describes how to install a 3M™ MicroTouch™ DST2270DX sensor to a
display. You can install a DST sensor on many different manufacturers’ displays.

The procedures are only intended as guidelines and will vary depending on the
display manufacturer.

Given the variety of factors that can affect the use and performance of any
product, some of which are uniquely within the user’s knowledge and control, it is
essential that the user evaluate the 3M product to determine whether it is suitable for a

Handling the Sensor
CAUTION
To reduce the risk of lacerations from glass breakage which could result in minor
or moderate injury:

Do not use display if sensor is damaged or broken
To reduce the risk of glass breakage which may result in minor or moderate
injury:
•
Handle the sensors with care to avoid breaking the glass. Be aware of cracked or
broken sensors with sharp edges.
•
Do not drop the display as it may cause glass parts to break
Do not try to pry the sensor off the LCD if you need to remove the sensor for
servicing. You may break the glass and injure yourself or others.
