Remove the 3M™ Cr Connector from the bag and remove the dust cap from the ferrule. Remove
the lapping film disc from the bag and set it aside for later.
2.4
Insert the connector into the SC port on the protrusion setting tool with the actuation cap facing upward.
Ensure the connector is fully seated in the port.

3.0 Fiber Stripping & Cleaving
3.1 For the Ilsintech CI-01 cleaver only, use the hex
wrench on the bottom of the cleaver to remove the
left clamp. Re-insert the screw and fasten it
partially.
3.2
For the Ilsintech CI-01 cleaver only, set the screw
head height by sliding the tip of the cable holder
underneath the screw head. The screw head can
hold the cable holder in place.
3.3 For the Ilsintech CI-01 cleaver only, open the right
cover on the cleaver. Move the blade carriage to
the front. Once per day, or whenever the cleaver
gets dirty, clean the fiber groove, rubber pads and
blade with the brush.
Note: Cleaver can be silver-colored or dark grey-colored.
3.3
Position the cable with the curl downward in the
cable slitter tool. The cable slitter tools have slots
labeled 1.6, 2, 2.4, and 3 mm. Use the holes on the
bottom of the cable holder to determine the cable
size. If using the 3M™ Easy Cleaver, slit the
jacket 2 finger-widths beyond the edge of the tool.
If using Ilsintech CI-01 cleaver, slit the jacket 1
finger width beyond the tool.
