Cut the excess jacket at the white lines marked on
the cable holder.

Slide both shuttles backward. Ensure the fiber curl
is directed downward in the fiber holder. If not,
re-arrange the cable with curl downward per step

Strip the 900 µm coating off so that it is even with
the tip of the fiber holder. Notice that one side of
the cable holder fork is longer than the other. Use
the longer of the two as a target. Also strip any
250 µm coating left behind.
Note: Do not grip the fiber stripper with full strength
because it can damage the tool and weaken the
fiber.

Test the stripped fiber for weak points by using
your finger to slowly flick the fiber in multiple
directions. Watch for the fiber to spring back to
the straight position. If the fiber breaks, properly
dispose of the broken-off piece and repeat the
steps starting with 3.1.
