2 Boot the PC under DOS.
The Configuration and Diagnostic Program will not run
if memory managers or other device drivers have been
loaded. To allow the program to run, do one of
the following:
■
Boot the PC from a DOS diskette that does not
contain device drivers.
■
If your computer is running an operating system other
than DOS, exit to the DOS prompt. For instructions,
see the operating system documentation.
3 Insert the EtherDisk diskette in drive A and type the
following at the DOS prompt:
a:\install [Enter]
4 When the Select an Adapter screen shown in
Figure 6-1 appears, select the NIC and press [Enter].

one
NIC is installed, the
Configure Adapter
option
appears selected on the
Install
pull-down menu.
Press [Enter].
A screen similar to the one shown in Figure 6-2 appears,
showing the parameters for the selected NIC.
