ROUBLESHOOTING

This chapter explains how to isolate and solve 3C515-TX 
NIC problems.

Troubleshooting with the NIC LEDs

The 3C515-TX NIC has three status LEDs, as shown in 
Figure 5-1 and described in Table 5-1.

Before the LEDs can be used for troubleshooting, the NIC 
must be connected to the network (see Chapter 2) and 
the network drivers must be installed (see Chapter 3 for 
NetWare drivers or Chapter 4 for NDIS drivers).
