4.2.2
Rear Side of BPS12
The rear side of the BPS12, shown in figure 4-2, is the side that has the power connectors, fuses,
and standby switch. The numbers in the figure correspond to the following descriptions:
1.
Master output fuse
– This 16 A, 5 x 20 mm, quick acting, high current fuse is in series with the
–48VDC that is supplied to the output. This fuse protects all six dc power outputs. Replace
this fuse only with a fuse, obtained from Zultys, of the same rating.
2.
Individual output fuse
– One fuse is provided for each dc power output. Each fuse is a 10 A
5 x 20 mm quick acting, high current fuse. Fuses are in series with their dc power output.
Replace this fuse only with a fuse, obtained from Zultys, of the same rating.
3.
dc power output
– The BPS12 provides six DC power outputs of –48 Vdc. You can connect each
output to an MX250 or an MX1200. You may also connect this output to other BPS12 power
supply power outputs when connecting multiple BPS12 units in parallel. When connecting
the dc power output to these devices, you must only use the battery power cable supplied
by Zultys.
4.
ac input
– Provides a universal fused input for ac power. You can insert 100 Vac to 240 Vac at
47 Hz to 63 Hz.
5.
Power LED
– See section 4.3.1 on page 17 for a description of the Power LED.
6.
Load LED
– See section 4.3.2 on page 17 for a description of the Load LED.
7.
Status LED
– See section 4.3.3 on page 18 for a description of the Status LED.
8.
Standby Switch
– The standby switch connects the dc power source to the dc power outputs.
When the switch is turned off, the BPS12 does not provide power through any of the dc
power outputs. The BPS12 provides power through all dc power outputs when the switch is
turned on.
9.
Serial Number
– This is the serial number that identifies the BPS12 chassis. Refer to this
number when identifying the system to a technical support representative or when
returning the BPS12 for repair or replacement.
