Cleaning/replacing spark plug
1.) Pull off the spark plug connector (10).
2.) Unscrew the spark plug using the spark plug wrench sup-
plied.
3.) Assembly takes place in the reverse order.
Electrode gap = 0.6 mm (distance between the electrodes be-
tween which the ignition spark is generated). Check the spark
plug for contamination after the first 10 hours of operation and
clean it with a copper wire brush if required. Afterwards, service
the spark plug after every 25 hours of operation.
Replace the spark plug if it is heavily soiled or damaged.

Lucricating the gears
•
To do this, undo the screw (D) to press the gear grease into
the gear housing.
•
After filling the gearbox, close the lubrication hole with the
screw (D).

Storage
N OTE
Improper storage can damage and destroy important components. Only store packed or un-
packed parts under the intended ambient conditions!
When not in use, store the machine in a dry, frost-proof and lockable place to prevent the formation of rust
on the one hand and to ensure that unauthorised persons and in particular children have no access to the
machine.
If the machine is stored for more than 30 days:
•
Drain the fuel from the tank into a suitable collection can and store the drained fuel in a suit-
able container.
•
Remove and clean the cutting tool
•
Fit protection (saw blade / hedge trimmer ...)
•
Clean and dry machine
14.4
Disposal
Observe the national waste disposal regulations. Never dispose of the machine, machine
components or equipment in residual waste. If necessary, contact your local authorities
for information on the disposal options available. If you buy a new machine or an equiva-
lent device from your specialist dealer, he is obliged in certain countries to dispose of your
old machine properly.

Before carrying out any troubleshooting work, make sure that moving parts are stopped,
that the machine's engine is switched off and that the start switch is in position 0.
If you are unable to properly carry out the necessary repairs and/or do not have the required qualifications,
always consult a specialist to solve the problem.
