9 Installation

9.1 Safety notices

WARNING:

Delivery, unpacking and transport to the installation site

The product must be inspected for any possible damage in transit after delivery to the installation site and after

unpacking. Transportation within the company is permitted only in the original packaging or in comparable

packaging.
Potential consequences of damage in transit include serious personal injury or significant material damage.

A quality assessment must be performed upon delivery of the product.

►

Log the results.

Quality evaluation criteria:

•

Damage to the packaging

•

Damaged or defective connections

•

Visible damage to the housing or impact marks

• Surface damage on the mounting surface, unit interface and front side
•

Damage to the taper, clamping system or plane face

Damage in transit after installation

If the product has already been installed in the superordinate machine or system, the product must be checked

for damage in transit after each time it is transported. It is absolutely necessary to avoid any vibrations or impact.
Potential consequences of damage in transit include serious personal injury or significant material damage.

Risk of injury in case of unexpected movement of the machine or system into which the product is to be

installed.

Switch off the power supply to the machine before all work.

►

Secure the machine against being switched on unintentionally.

►

Check the machine for any residual energy.

Installation can cause a health hazard and material damage

Improper hoisting will cause personal injury or material damage:

►

The product must only be hoisted by qualified personnel using suitable equipment.

►

Note the weight of the unit or check the handling diagram.

►

Wear suitable personal protective equipment.

CAUTION:

Material damage if incorrect connection values are used

The connection values provided in the specifications must not be exceeded!

Damage of the product

All connection values must be measured on site and compared to the specifications.

•

It is absolutely necessary for the values to match.

NOTICE:

Switch off the power supply before any assembly and installation work.
The operator must ensure that all safety regulations are observed.
