12.2 Cleaning agents
CAUTION:
Use of solvent-based cleaners will damage the product
Seals, insulation, coatings and other surfaces may be damaged by solvent-based cleaners.

Use chemically and biologically neutral cleaning agents.
Ö
Use cleaning agents that are categorized as being nonhazardous to health.
Use of the following cleaning agents is strictly prohibited:
• Acetone
• Petroleum ether
•
Nitrocellulose thinner/turpentine oil (solvents)
12.3
Definitions of maintenance work
The specified maintenance work on the product must be performed in order to ensure failure-free operation.
This maintenance work includes the inspection, maintenance and overhaul. The maintenance plan must be taken into
account in the maintenance plan required by the operator for the entire system.
All maintenance work must be documented. The maintenance plan helps support the documentation. The operator alone is
responsible for documenting the maintenance work.
12.3.1 Visual inspection of the product
The visual inspection merely includes visually inspecting component parts and their function.
If any irregularities or damage are identified during the visual inspection, a more detailed check of the component parts
must be carried out.
12.3.2 Inspection of the product
The inspection includes the check of the product. When performing the inspection, the actual status of the product must be
determined and documented.
The inspection must be carried out at the specified intervals.
12.3.3 Maintenance of the product
Maintenance work is intended to allow the components to wear out more slowly or, in the best case scenario, prevent such
wear.
Product maintenance must be carried out according to the specified intervals.
Maintenance of the product involves the following work steps:

Cleaning work
•
Maintenance work
•
Verification of the settings
•
Acquisition of the measuring values
•
Inspection, adjustment, readjustment, lubrication, preservation
•
Checking the fill levels
12.3.4 Overhauling of the product
Despite all maintenance work and inspections, signs of wear will occur on the product after a certain time. Therefore, any
faulty part must be replaced during maintenance work and inspections.
The actual state must be documented and the nominal state must be re-established.
The overhaul concludes the complete maintenance cycle and ensures the life cycle of the product.
