4.5.5. Ignition

The device has dedicated interface to connect and monitor the vehicle ignition. When enabled, the

device generates alerts whenever there is a state change in the vehicle ignition.

SMS Alert: When enabled, the device notifies the status change of the vehicle ignition to the au-

thorized users.

GPRS Alert: When enabled, the device sends out additional GPRS packet to the server, when there

is a state change.

Let’s assume a scenario in which, the user would like to get SMS alerts and GPRS alerts of any

change ignition status. The alerts can be enabled through the Configurator GUI or through com-

mands as shown below.

checkbox under SMS and GPRS alerts list to enable alert for ignition state

change.
