Operating instructions
5.1 Start-up procedure for the ZGR SWIT NG
Before starting the unit for the first time, check all the operations described in the "mechanical installation" section
and the connections in the "electrical installation". To do this, check:
•
The On/Off switch is in OFF position.
•
230 Vac mains supply is present. (If the green OK LED is on this means that the mains supply is correct).
•
The battery voltage corresponds to the model you have chosen.
•
The polarity of the battery cables is correct.
•
The consumption of your load does not exceed the maximum for the
ZGR SWIT NG.
•
The battery terminals are properly tightened.
•
The alarm connections (NA, NC and C) correspond to your application.
•
That the battery circuit breaker is on the OFF position (down).
In order to turn on the ZGR SWIT NG and start operating:
1.
Check that the OK supply LED remains on (green).
2.
Press the On/Off button to the On position.
3.
Check that LED 1 (rectifier/charger) turns on (green) and check that there is voltage in the load terminals.
4.
Place the battery circuit breaker in the position in order to be able to charge the batteries.
5.
The voltmeter and the ammeter indicate the load voltage and the load current of the SWIT NG (these
meters are OPTIONAL).
6.
Remove the mains voltage to check for operation in battery mode (the OK supply and indicator LEDs 1/2
will turn off).
If none of the above anomalies described in 1, 3, 5 and 6 has been detected, the unit is operating normally,
otherwise, turn off the unit and read the "maintenance and malfunctions" section.
In order to turn off the SWIT NG:
1.
Place the battery circuit breaker to the Off position.
2.
Press the On/Off button to the Off position.
3.
All lamps and indicators will be off and deactivated.
4.
Check that there is no load voltage.
