OPERATION

FIRST TIME SET-UP

1.  Remove the Zero S/DS motorcycle from its crate. Remove any residual packing materials with scissors.

2.  The Zero S/DS has been in transit and storage. Engage the main power coupling on the Zero power pack.

(See page 12, item 5)

3.

You must charge the power pack before riding the motorcycle.

4.  Identify and inspect the Zero S/DS wheels and brakes for leaks or irregularities.

5.  Check the tire pressure and adjust to proper specifications. (See page 23)

6.  Inspect the hydraulic brake system. Follow the hydraulic line from the reservoirs to the calipers, and verify

that there are no leaks or damage to the brake lines. Verify that the brakes function properly.

7.  Make sure the motorcycle is off then twist the throttle to make sure it returns correctly.

8.  Inspect bolts and make sure they are tight. (See bolt torque specifications on page 22) Be sure to double

check all fork and brake bolts.

9.  After the motorcycle has completed charging, insert the key in the Ignition Switch, engage the rear brake

and turn the key to the “ON” position. Wait for the instrument self-test routine to complete. The Zero S/DS
energy gauge should read fully charged. Once you are prepared to ride, flip the kill switch to the “ON”
position. Your motorcycle is now on and ready to ride.
