POWER PACK AND CHARGER
LOW-PACK WARNING
The BMS provides a low-pack warning, telling the rider that the remaining range is limited, and the pack should
be recharged soon. This is equivalent to a “low fuel” warning-light on a gas-powered vehicle. This beep-warning
is different from the others because it can sound at any time when the bike is on (the other warnings only sound
when the key-switch is first turned-on).
The Low Pack warning beep will sound continuously until either (a) the bike is turned-off, or (b) The throttle-
control is disabled for any reason, which includes the pack being completely-empty. The Low Pack warning-beep
will sound when you can still ride the bike, but the remaining range is limited. It means: “Stop at a destination
and charge-up.”
The solution is to recharge the pack. If the Low Pack warning-beep still sounds after the pack has charged for two
hours, call your Zero service representative. Your pack may need to be repaired or replaced.
OTHER ERROR-BEEP PATTERNS
If the BMS in your pack produces an error-beep which is not described in the table, above, then the pack
has encountered a serious internal hardware problem and must be repaired or replaced by a Zero service
representative.
