Troubleshooting
The following troubleshooting table lists some possible problems you may
encounter when operating the i.Profiler
plus
, and relevant solutions. If
problems persist, please contact Carl Zeiss Vision.
Electrical problems
Error/problem
Possible causes
Troubleshooting
After switching on
the power switch
and pressing the
Standby button, the
Standby indicator
light does not come
on.
The power plug is
not connected.
The fuses are
defective.
Ensure the power plug is
plugged into the mains power.
Check the fuses in the mains
switch module (see page 48).
The device
switches on, but
no screen display
appears, and the
device head does
not move.
Cable problem
Contact your local Service
Support and authorized service
partners.
The device does
not start up or the
application does
not launch.
Computer
problem
Switch off the device and switch
it on again after one minute.
If the problem continues,
contact your local Service
Support and authorized service
partners.
The device
unintentionally
and abruptly shuts
down.
Voltage
interruptions
E.g. mains
failure / power
outage
Restart the device and redo
measurements once the device
has power again.
All unsaved progress will have
been lost due to self-protection
mechanisms of the device.

and repairs) beyond those indicated in this chapter may only be carried
out by personnel authorized to do so by Carl Zeiss and may only be
carried out using the servicing instructions issued by Carl Zeiss.
