USING THE MPTS TO ENCODE 2 CHANNELS INTO 1 STREAM / ASI
The MVE-100R includes an MPTS that can combine multiple streams into 1. This can be used to take 2 inputs
to the MVE-100R and simultaneously stream them into 1 ASI output and 1 IP stream containing 2 channels.
Steps showing how to do this follow.

Set up the System

Perform steps (1) to (8) in Section 6.0 to connect the Z3-MVE-100R to the video sources and bring up
the GUI.

Connect the ASI Out

Take a new BNC cable (different from those used for the encoder inputs) and connect ASI Out as
shown below:

Initialize CH1

Click on the “CH1” tab.

Change the Output Format to “MPTS”.

After you finish, the CH1 tab should look something like the following:
