Leave the product switched on for approx. 3 minutes and watch how it works. Pay particular attention to whether the band saw
does not slip from the pulleys and moves in the direction of the arrow on the guard.
Should any signs of malfunction be noticed, such as increased vibration, excessive noise or uneven operation, turn the slicer o
ff
immediately by pressing the switch marked “O” and unplug the power cord plug from the socket. The cause of the malfunction
must be eliminated before the product is restarted.
If no signs of malfunction are observed during the test run, turn o
ff
the product by pressing the switch marked “O”.
The product is ready for use.
Product operation
Caution!
The food should be moved towards the band saw using the pusher. It is forbidden to move the food to be cut with hands,
other body parts or using other objects.
Set the cutting width according to the procedure described in the “
Preparing for operation
” section.
Turn the product on by pressing on the switch. Wait until the nominal operating speed has been reached.
Carefully lift the pusher and place the food product to be cut on the work table so that it does not touch the blade but the thickness
adjustment plate.
Lower the pusher onto the food and move it towards the band saw. Start cutting. Do not exert too much pressure on the product
being cut. Applying too much pressure can lead to deformation or even damage to the band saw which may lead to serious injury.
Cut the products into further portions. If the portions of food accumulate on the work table, turn o
ff
the machine by pressing the
switch, wait for the band saw to stop moving and remove the food from the table, then resume cutting.
Caution!
It is forbidden to remove food from the work table when the band saw is in motion. This can cause serious injury.
After cutting, turn o
ff
the product with the switch
fi
rst and only after the band saw has stopped moving, start removing the rest of
the meat from the work table.
After removing the food from the table, proceed with maintenance.
Band saw information
The product is supplied with a band saw to cut fresh meat, frozen meat and bone-in meat.
The band saw is made of materials that may corrode, so after each use the band saw should be carefully cared for.
It is forbidden to use band saws with dimensions other than speci
fi
ed in the technical data table. The use of band saws with dimen-
sions other than speci
fi
ed in the table may result in a risk of serious injury. It can also damage the band saw and the product itself.
The band saw gets blunt during operation and this is normal wear and tear. The saws cannot be sharpened, replace worn saws
with new ones. The life of a band saw depends on the load and the type of food products to be cut. The band saw should be
replaced after every 1000 kg of cut meat. However, if frozen meat or bones have not been cut, the life of the band saw can be
extended to 2000 kg of cut meat.
Regardless of the type of food products to be cut, the condition of the band saw should be checked after each maintenance, before
the saw is assembled. If you notice deformations, cracks, broken teeth or other damage, replace the band saw with a new one,
free of defects, before starting work.
Caution!
It is forbidden to mount a damaged band saw to the product. After installing the saw in the product, only a small part of
it visible and the operator of the product may not be aware of the damage. Working with a damaged band saw can lead to serious
injury and damage to the product.
Cleaning and maintenance of the product
Caution!
Every time before cleaning, switch o
ff
the product, unplug the power cord plug from the socket, wait for the appliance to
cool down and then proceed with maintenance.
Caution!
Due to its intended use which is food preparation, the product should be maintained carefully. This will help to maintain
proper hygiene. The maintenance of the product should be carried out after each use.
Use only mild kitchen cleaning agents to clean it. Never use abrasive cleaning agents, e.g. cleaning powder or milk, or agents
containing corrosive substances. Do not use any solvents, petrol or alcohol to clean the product. Before using a cleaning agent,
read the product safety data sheet provided by its manufacturer.
Dilute the cleaning agent with water, according to the instructions supplied with it. Then, apply it on a soft cloth and clean the
outside of the product and inside of the disc chamber.
Remove any residues of the cleaning agent with a soft cloth slightly soaked in clean water. Then, dry all surfaces with a dry, soft
cloth.
Caution!
The product is not designed for water jet cleaning. Never immerse the product in water or any other liquid.
Clean all the surfaces of food residues.
Particular attention must be paid to proper cleaning of the band saw and the interior of the chamber in which the band saw is
moving. Wear protective gloves when handling a band saw.
The band saw should be removed from the product and then cleaned with a jet of running water, or immersed in water with the
addition of detergent. After thoroughly rinsing, it should be dried to prevent corrosion. Apply a small amount of cooking oil to the
cleaned band saw.
Clean the pulleys and the inside of the band saw chamber with a cloth soaked in a water solution of a detergent. Do not clean the
interior of the band saw chamber and pulleys with a jet of water or by immersion.
