1.2.1 System Layout
The MH24 manipulator (robot), an MSR positioner, and heavy-gauge,
wire-mesh safety fencing all share a common steel base for ease of
installation and assurance of proper alignment between the robot and
rotary positioner. The wire-mesh safety fencing completely surrounds the
EcoTrim-1024 work cell.
The equipment platform is located outside and to the rear of the work cell.
This arrangement allows most of the component wiring interconnects to
be pre-wired at the factory, thus reducing the amount of point-to-point
wiring required by the customer. All operator controls, including those on
the Programming Pendant, DX200 controller,
Ultrasonic trimming tool

and Operator Station pedestal, are accessible from outside the EcoTrim-
1024 System work cell.
