7.2 Bluetooth Serial Port
The Bluetooth Serial Port service establishes a virtual COM port connection
between your computer and a remote Bluetooth device.
Identify the COM Port being used by your computer:
The COM port on your computer and the remote device will not change each time
the connection is established.
Right-click the Bluetooth icon from the Windows system tray.
Choose
Advanced Configuration
.
Select the
Local Services
tab.
The COM port assigned to this service is shown on the Bluetooth Serial Port
row.
You may also right-click
My Bluetooth Serial Port
of My Device, and then choose
Properties
from the pop-up menu. The assigned COM port is displayed on the
Bluetooth Properties dialog box.
Add a Bluetooth Serial Port:
In addition to the pre-configured Bluetooth Serial Port, additional Bluetooth Serial
Port can be added. To add a Bluetooth Serial Port,
Right-click the Bluetooth icon,
Advanced Configuration
, the
Local
Services
tab, Click on
Add Serial Service
.
In the Bluetooth Properties dialog box, modify the properties as follows:
