1. Check:
• gear teeth
Blue discoloration/pitting/wear
→
Replace.
ASSEMBLING THE SHIFT FORK
ASSEMBLY
1. Install:
• shift fork guide bar
1
• shift fork “L”
2
• spring
3
• shift fork “R”
4
• circlips
5
TIP:
Install the shift forks with the “3B4” mark
a
and “5B4” mark

facing each other.

• reverse idle gear

• drive axle assembly

• secondary shaft
3
• shift fork assembly
4
• shift drum

TIP:
_
Install the shift forks

with the “L” mark
a
facing toward the right side of the crankcase
and the “R” mark
b
facing toward the left side
of the crankcase.
