ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE
SWITCH

1. Check:

• brake light operation.

Incorrect--> Adjust.

2. Adjust:

• brake light operation

a. Hold the main body

of the rear brake light

switch and turn the adjusting nut

in direction

until the rear brake light comes on at the

proper time.

The free play increases

The free play decreases

The rear brake light switch is operated by the
movement of the brake pedal. The rear brake light
switch is properly adjusted when the brake light
comes on just before the braking effect starts.

NOTE

2. Adjust:

• shift pedal position

a. Loosen the locknut

and

b. Turn the adjusting bolt

to obtain the specified

position.

c. Tighten the locknuts
