Enabling/disabling the network standby function

Enabling the network standby function allows the unit to be turned on or off using a
mobile or
Bluetooth
device as follows.
• When the unit is turned off, it will turn on with the following playback operations.
- Play back with AirPlay
- Music files stored on a DLNA-compliant network attached storage (NAS) unit are
played
• The unit can also be turned on and off using the MusicCast CONTROLLER app
installed on your mobile device.
• When a
Bluetooth
device is connected to this unit while it is off, this unit turns on and
the input source switched to BLUETOOTH.
NOTE
• By default, the network standby function is enabled.

Turn off the unit.

Hold down the
key and press the
key on the unit.
The network standby function is enabled or disabled, and the unit turns on. For
several seconds immediately after the unit is turned on, the indicator shows
network standby function status.
HINT
• The unit consumes more power when it is off with the network standby function enabled than it does when
it is off with this function disabled.
Enable or disable a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.
NOTE
• By default, a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection is enabled.

key on the unit.
The wireless (Wi-Fi) connection is enabled or disabled, and the unit turns on. For
several seconds immediately after the unit is turned on, the indicator shows
wireless (Wi-Fi) connection status.
HINT
• When the wireless (Wi-Fi) connection is disabled, connecting the unit to a network with the MusicCast
CONTROLLER app also enables the wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.
