5. Connect the Rectifier Regulator coupler
and lighting coil coupler.

Checking the ignition spark
1. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the
spark plug.
2. Connect the spark plug wire to the spe-
cial service tool “1”.
3. Check the ignition spark using the YDIS
“Stationary test”.
Do not touch any of the connections of
the special service tool.
4. Remove the special service tool, and
then connect the spark plug wire.
Checking the spark plug wire
1. Remove the spark plug wires.
2. Measure the spark plug wire resistance.
3. Install the spark plug wires.
Checking the ignition coil
1. Disconnect the ignition coil couplers “a”
and “b”.
