Connections (for 2 or more Inverters up to 6)
7.1 Inverter connection options:
1.Check connection: In order to use the functionalities of the 485 inverter, you may use the two main cables to independently control the
operation of the parallel pumps (6 pumps maximum). The GND earth circuit is not required if the distance is less than 100 metres.
Above 100 metres, connect the GND geodesic earth circuit with copper wire.
2. Communication and timer (alternation): the pumps can communicate with each other via the inverters.
Pumps alternation can be set via the timer, in order to make the working times of each pump in the system more even.
3. The main pump is automatically recognised: The sites of a single network must be identified by different numbers.
If a number is found multiple times in a single network the system is shut down, the numbers of the site must be re-entered manually and
then the system must be restarted. This way, the numbers of the sites are automatically identified and the one with the lower value is
considered the main station of the system. On the LCD display, the main station of the system will flash, while the other stations will not.
When the main pump is running, the relative LED on the pipes diagram will turn on. With manual stop, the LED turns off.
While the system is running, all LEDs are on.
4. Errors detection and commutators: if one of the inverters in the system stops functioning, the next number automatically activates.
Inversion between main and support pump also occurs automatically, in order to ensure system operation in any case.
5.Intelligent switching: when the system working time reached the pre-established limit, the intelligent switching verifies that the pressure
inside the pipes is constant. If it stops, the system automatically changes the connection between main and secondary pump. If the maxi-
mum value of the pumps operating simultaneously is adjusted at 1, the system will return to the main pump to reboot. If, instead, the multi
pump function is set, they will start in sequence. Depending on system feedback, priority will be assigned to the pump. Therefore the main
/ secondary connection can be set so that, before activating a pump, the other one stops, so as to prevent system fluctuations.
