Connection with Tester
Connect the ADSL line interface of the tester with the line under test properly as shown
in Fig 35.

Settings and Results of Tester

Line Parameter
Refer to the relative descriptions about line parameter testing settings and results in
Chapter 4

for detail.
Caution:
“
AUTO TEST
”
key can be used to directly and quickly start the line parameter
testing. In any displays except for DMM, the operator can start the test by
pressing
“
AUTO TEST
”
key. And the line standard of tester will be
automatically set as
“
AUTO
”
, and the displays will switch to the
“
Results
”
menus.
If the tester is failed to connect the DSLAM, there may has some troubles in the line
from DSLAM. Please check the test cables and working state of DSLAM, and confirm
the loop line is good.
After making measurements of Line Parameter, the operator can continue to make
WAN PING and TRACE testing to check the high level connectivity of ADSL line.

WAN PING

TRACE
The connection of tester for TRACE is same as one in WAN PING testing. TRACE
testing can test the transmitted time of the packet to every IP in its route and
display IP address of the host the packet passed. The information acquired from
