Measurement History
The Measurement History dialog is the interface to CounterMeasure’s database of measurements. It
can be opened from the File menu on the Main Panel. Every measurement started gets an entry in the
database. The interface is a series of columns, with each row indicating a given run. Clicking on a column
header will sort it alphabetically. The following columns are default:
1.
Started At: This is the time the Run Control Button is pressed to start a measurement. If
there was a purge counting will start 45 minutes after this time.
2.
Planned Duration: The duration entered into the Start Run Dialog
3.
Actual Duration: The actual duration of the measurement (not including purge time), which
will be different from Planned Duration if the measurement is stopped early for some
reason (see below).
4.
Stopped: Notes the reason measurement ended. Reasons include:
a.
Criteria Met: The measurement went for the planned duration.
b.
User Request: The user stopped the measurement, either by pressing the “Stop”
button or by exiting the program.
c.
Box Opened: The top of the counter was opened while a measurement was going.
d.
HV Dropped: The HV bias deviated from its defined operating limits.
e.
Flow Dropped: The gas flow deviated from its defined operating limits.
f.
Communication Lost: Communication with the counter was interrupted somehow,
typically either through the USB connection coming unplugged or the line power to
the counter being interrupted.
g.
Not Stopped: The measurement is currently running.
h.
Aborted: The measurement was terminated due to an adverse event such as an
application crash.
5.
Alphas: The efficiency-corrected number of alphas observed during the measurement.
