Electrode Size
These are radio buttons that set the electrode size, with “Full” being the 1800 cm
2
electrode
configuration and “Wafer” being the 707 cm
2
electrode configuration. For more on the differences
between these configurations and when to use them, see
c)
Measurement Info
These are a series of blank boxes that accept arbitrary text input to be stored in the measurement
database, with labels defined by customer parameters. These parameters can be anything set up by the
user, as discussed in
. Sample serial number or ID and sample description are two that
XIA has found useful. Unlike duration, these values will not be remembered from run to run. This section
will only appear once custom parameters are created.
d)
Start/Cancel buttons
The Start button starts the measurement, while the
cancel button closes the dialog without starting one. If
the Purge box was checked, the purge will begin after
pressing “Start” (see Figure VI-12), unless the HV needs
to be ramped, in which case the high voltage will be
ramped first, then the purge will begin. During a purge
the rest of CounterMeasure will be unavailable, the
only possible interactions are canceling the purge (which also cancels the measurement) and skipping
the purge (which will immediately start a measurement).
