Verify the media used is supported by this printer.

Verify the media settings are correct at the Control Panel.

Inspect the Imaging Unit.
Are there scratches on the
photo-conductor surface?

Replace the Imaging
Unit. If the problem
persists, go to Step 3.

Check the Transfer Belt
Unit.
Is the transfer belt dirty
with oil or fingerprints, or
scratched?

If the surface is dirty,
wipe the surface clean
with a soft cloth. If the
belt is scratched,
replace the Transfer
Belt Unit (page 8-33).
If the problem
persists, go to Step 4.
