Interface Card

(XNIC)

This section contains two sets of instructions:

•

“Installing the XNIC” (page C-51)

•

“Removing the XNIC” (page C-56).

Installing the XNIC

Follow the procedure below to install a NIC. To install the
card you will need either a Phillips head screwdriver or a
hex-head nut driver.

These instructions apply to both the 10/100 Ethernet and the
Token Ring Network Interface Cards (NIC).

Power OFF the printer.

Disconnect the printer GFI power cord.
Disconnect any cables attached to printer
ports.

Discharge any static electricity from
your body before continuing with
the next step
