Welcome to Fuji Xerox Document Centre 706/705/606/605/506/505 and DocuCentre 706/705/606/605/
506/505 series.
Written with the new user in mind, this User Guide provides all the necessary information about operating
the printer functions, installing the printer drivers as well as the setting up and operations when using this
machine as a network printer. To get the most out of the machine, please read this guide before using it.
This guide is written with the assumption that you are familiar with the basic knowledge and way of using
your operating systems. Refer to the manuals of these products for information on them.
Note that this manual is written for users operating the Document Centre 706/705/606/605/506/505 series
with a client computer installed with an English edition operating system. Unless otherwise indicated, this
manual is written for use with English edition operating system only.
Regarding the maintenance of this machine and copying functions, please see User Guide (Copier).
After reading, keep this guide handy for a quick reference should you encounter any difficulties when
using the machine.
In this manual, safety instructions are described with the symbol . Always read and follow these instructions
before performing the required procedure.

from Information Technology Equipment (VCCI)*. If the machine is used near a radio or television receiver in a
domestic environment, it may cause radio interference. Install and use the machine according to the instructions
listed in "Safety Notes" of the User Guide (Copier).
* This regulation applies only to Japan.
This equipment conforms to the guidelines of the Japan Business Machine Makers Association on the
harmonic effects by copiers and other reproduction devices. These guidelines conform to the guides on the
harmonic suppressors of electronic appliances and general-purpose machines.
We have the consent of the Japanese Standards Association to use the Heisei Mincho™ W3 and Heisei Kaku
Gothic™ W5 fonts. Some of the fonts include foreign language characters designed by our company. Illegal
reproduction of the fonts are prohibited.
* This content applies only to Japan.
This equipment is certified as a Class 1 laser product under IEC60825. This means that the machine does not
emit hazardous laser radiation. Since radiation emitted inside the machine is completely confined within the
protective housings and external covers, the laser beam cannot escape from the machine during any phase of
user operation.
