5.4.5. Network Port Configuration

Settings for network parameters, such as the IP Address and Subnet Mask,

will be determined by your individual network conﬁguration. Please

contact your network administrator for appropriate settings, then assign

parameters as described in this section.
To conﬁgure the Network Port, go to the Port Selector Menu (Main Menu,

item 22), and select item 6. The Network Port Conﬁguration Menu

(Figure 5.10) offers the following options:

Communication Settings:

IP Address:

The VIP's IP Address (

Default = undeﬁned

Subnet Mask:

Deﬁnes the VIP's subnet mask.

Default = 255.255.255.0

Gateway Address:

Deﬁnes the VIP's Gateway Address.

Default = undeﬁned

SNMP Manager 1:

Deﬁnes the IP Address for the ﬁrst SNMP

Manager. The VIP allows deﬁnition of two SNMP Managers.

SNMP Manager 2:

Deﬁnes the IP Address for the second SNMP

Manager. (

Default = undeﬁned

SNMP Community:

Deﬁnes the SNMP Community.

Reset Network:

Reinitializes the network port.
