Open outer packaging
1a. Disposable tube set - To be carried out by non-sterile technician:
• Open outer packaging of the tube set.
• A sterile technician then removes the inner tube set package and opens it.
Open sterile autoclavable container
1b. Reusable tube set (NOT FOR SALE IN USA) - To be carried out by non-sterile tech-
nician:
• Open the sterile autoclavable container of the tube set.
• A sterile technician then removes the tube set from the inside of the package.
Connecting the instrument
2. To be carried out by sterile technician:
• Keep the Luer lock connector

in the sterile area and hand the tube end
with the spikes

to the non-sterile technician (see Fig. Inserting tube set
• Connect the Luer lock connector

with the instrument (inflow). Open in-
flow valve of the instrument.

3. To be carried out by non-sterile technician:
• Switch device on. Insert the tube set. Inserting the roller tube is depicted in Fig.
• Place the roller tube

around the roller wheel

• When inserting the roller tube, make sure not to damage the membranes of
the pressure chamber. Insert the pressure chamber

only if chamber is not
pressurized.
• Carefully insert the unpressurized pressure chamber

into the lower notch
of the tube retainer
